That little girl from Wartburg, TN—part Cherokee and part Country. After attending East Tennessee State, Dorothy moved to New York City to become a tour guide at Rockefeller Center. After moving back South, she answered an ad in an Atlanta newspaper for a “Resident Manager,” which provided free rent. This was her entry to property management. She loved the leasing side and uses those same skills today to find the perfect match between two people. Dorothy values the time spent with her husband and enjoys fishing and reading.
She is a native of Dallas, TX—but a Florida girl at heart. Rebecca grew up in Jupiter, FL in a very large family with two sets of twins, she being one half of one of them! She moved to the Atlanta area in 1992 and she loves the outdoors and is an avid tennis player. (Anybody up for a challenge?!) She has been recruiting/staffing for over 20 years and has worked on-site in property management. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband and active daughter.
Melissa Vogel moved to Atlanta from Oregon to be nearer to family. She started her career with a Seed and Forestry company, so, of course, we always ask her advice on any of our planting questions in the spring. One of her joys is growing her own food. Her experience in the Forestry Industry groomed her to assist others which is so valuable in her career at Dorothy Long Search.
Melissa enjoys spending time with her Son, Daughter-in-Law, and two wonderful grandchildren. Her dog, Flash, is a constant source of joy.
Melissa is a graduate of The University of Oregon and follows “The Ducks” faithfully.
We value her sense of humor, her personality, and her integrity and are proud to have her on our team.
Kara McArthur was born and raised in the metro-Atlanta area. She was a child opera singer who performed with the Fox Theater in elementary school and later expanded her love of performing to include band. She played trumpet, French horn, and trombone in various musical performance groups, including marching band, throughout her high school days.
She went on to graduate from Kennesaw State University and majored in History with minors in Theater and American Studies while working her way in customer service all through college. She started her first major job helping run a small animal rescue in the Atlanta area. (Her canine best friend, Honey, was an added bonus from working there.)
She’s now using her skill for finding the perfect match from pets and owners to jobs and candidates.
